As of January 1st, MantyDance has added two new teachers to our growing studio.  Maureen Stern, and Lindsay Wiesner.  Maureen will be working with the Pointe classes, and Lindsay will be shadowing Miss Cari.  You will all love them!!

Maureen Stern (Teacher)

Maureen Stern grew up in Manitowoc, WI. She began dancing at the age of four with Jean Wolfmeyer. While dancing there she was an angel, a solider and in the Russian dance in the Nutcracker. At the age of 15 she began dancing with Kristine Rakos, under Kristine’s instruction she won many scholarships with the Dupree Dance organization. While attending numerous workshops in Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis she won many scholarships and awards, most notably a scholarship to Interlochen center for the arts, in Michigan, which she attended for two summers. At the age of 17, she moved to Carbondale, Il and began dancing with Susan Barnes. While still in high school, and under instruction of Susan, she began taking classes with the St. Louis Ballet School, after graduating early she danced with the St. Louis Ballet for a few short months, performing in Swan Lake. She then moved to the Miami area and continued to take classes with the Miami City Ballet School, until she went to college in New Hampshire. Maureen currently resides in Manitowoc with her five year old daughter Chloe and her fiancée Jeremie.

Lindsay Wiesner (Teacher)

Lindsay Wiesner was born and raised in Manitowoc. She has spent all of her life in this area. She began dancing at the age of 5 under Kristine Rakos . She danced for over 13 years between Kristine and Kaleidoscope Dance Studio. She has known Cari all of her dance life.
She also danced in New York City under Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Dan Karaty, and Mandy Moore. She also was involved during the Walt Disney World 25 year anniversary celebration and danced there also. Dance has been passed on through her older daughter, Lilly, who has been dancing since she has been 2 at MantyDance.
